With a long family tradition of dentistry Bruce followed his father, uncle and brother into dentistry graduating from Sydney University with Honours in 1975.

Having settled in Lake Macquarie he was senior principal dentist of a large dental practice with 25 staff including 4 dentists and 4 hygienists in Belmont for over 30 years. His keen interest in dental implants and complex restorative work began in 1988 in the early days of implants in Australia  and  with extensive post graduate education he moved into the field full time with his practice restricted to Dental Implants and Advanced Restorative Work in 2009.

From a simple single tooth implant carried out in his surgery to the most complex full reconstruction he treats many cases in conjunction with specialists Facio-maxillary Surgeons, Periodontists and Orthodontists, with dental implants being the focus of his work since leaving general practice.

With referrals by many general dentists and satisfied patients, completed  cases are followed through many years of  maintenance to give the best chance of long term success.

His interest in dentistry and dental implants has led to him to be involved in many facets of dental life. A long term member of the Australian Dental Association for the past 38 years beginning at graduation in 1975, past Chairman and committee member of the Hunter Division of the ADA, long standing members of the Prosthodontic Society, Treasurer and committee members the NSW Osseointegration Society (AOS) since 1999 to the present and past Federal Treasurer of the AOS Australia's most eminent dental implant society created to further the advancement and education of Dental Implants. He is currently a member of the postgraduate Oral Implants planning committee University of Sydney Dental Faculty and is a prosthetic Mentor for the Diploma of Dental Implants Sydney University Dental Faculty as well as Prosthetic Mentor for the Charles Sturt University Postgraduate Diploma of Dental Implantology. In 2007 he became a Fellow of the International College of Dentistry which is granted by invitation only in recognition of a dentists "outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind."

Over their many years of working in the dental field, Michelle and Melissa have under gone extensive courses and training in all aspects of dental care - in particular dental implants.

They are both highly proficient and knowledgeable in their field and are indispensable to Dr. Munroe in his day to day work.
